How to use this shared guide
Use this guide to separate the current purchase or bill from assumptions about future earnings. Enter your own present prices and preserve the reserve you choose in the budget tool.
Find the bill before choosing an upgrade
In our 6 October 2026 test, the in-game phone's banking section included Weekly bills further down the page. The tested character's Yaba self-contain bill showed ₦6,000 in rent, due Saturday at 09:00 on the game clock.
That is one observed bill, not a price guarantee for every player or home. We did not wait for rent collection or test late-payment penalties. Check the current amount, due time and any move-in conditions on your own character.
Keep game time and local time separate
Use the time printed on the bill. If you set a personal reminder, first compare the game clock with your local clock; do not assume that Saturday morning means the same local time everywhere. The checklist on this site is a manual planning aid and does not read or pay your game bills.
Calculate what is available for rent
Start with realistic weekly income, subtract all spending other than rent, then set aside the reserve you want to keep. What remains is your weekly rent allowance. A positive result is a budget estimate, not proof that a property is unlocked, furnished or sold on weekly terms.
Worked example: a player-entered weekly income of ₦40,000 minus ₦12,000 in other costs and a ₦10,000 reserve leaves ₦18,000 available for rent. If the current rent is ₦6,000, the balance after spending is ₦22,000. Of that amount, ₦10,000 is the chosen reserve and ₦12,000 is above it. These are illustrative inputs, not a predicted game income.
Test a less comfortable week
If that example loses one ₦10,000 shift and needs an extra ₦3,000 in travel spending, its rent allowance falls to ₦5,000. A ₦6,000 bill then leaves the player ₦1,000 short of the intended reserve. The bill may still be payable, but the safety margin has gone.
Use the missed-shift and extra-cost inputs in the rent calculator to try this with your own numbers. Keep the original weekly income as your base; the calculator subtracts the stress-test amounts separately.
Before moving
- Verify whether the amount is a recurring rent or an upfront purchase.
- Check deposits, furniture, transport and power costs separately.
- Keep enough available for the current bill before committing to an upgrade.
- Treat older reference prices as examples until checked in the live game.
Save the routine, share only the scenario
Save a device-local checklist for checking bills before a session. You can also share a budget link with friends; it includes the amounts you choose to share, not a live connection to your character. The companion cannot buy a property, pay rent or transfer game money.
Sources & dates
Check what each source records. A menu label and a completed playtest are different kinds of evidence.
